Chef Kamal recently threw a Grand Moroccan Dinner Event!

Experience the Enchantment of Morocco was the theme of the evening. Chef Kamal pulled out all of the stops for this special occasion.

The event was held at the residence of Howard & Margaret Yuen.  Friends and associates were offered a wide variety of Moroccan Fare.

Menu

Salad de Kasbah – An assortment of vegetables: potato, carrot, and beets drizzled with  a red wine vinaigrette, tossed with marinated tomato & red cumin, and served with seasoned rice, with tuna & maize.

Bastilla - A traditional Moroccan dish which features layers of chicken, eggs, & crushed almonds encased in a phyllo pastry and topped with cinnamon and powdered sugar.

Vegetarian Couscous (Mama’s recipe) – served with potato, carrot, pumpkin, zucchini, & garbanzo beans.

Lamb Tajine – marinated lamb with Moroccan saffron, coriander, and preserved lemon all cooked in an ancestral clay pot.

Wine – paired with lamb & couscous
